Anthracite Umber and Sepia Dark: A Refined Stone Palette in Atherton

Atherton residence

At Maiden Stone, we bring a nuanced, intentional approach to every project. Our recent Atherton residence collaboration showcases this philosophy, blending materials for a sophisticated yet natural aesthetic.

A Harmonious Blend of Natural Stone
Anthracite Umber Limestone serves as the primary veneer, providing a rich foundation. We incorporated various materials, including Sepia Dark Heritage Wash in a horizontal application—one of our latest finishes—adding depth and texture.

Strategic Stone Selection
Working closely with the architect, the Sepia Dark Heritage Wash was curated for key areas, using less uniform selections in secondary spaces. This process reduced the waste of the stone and at the same time, enhanced the stone’s beauty.

Sculptural & Landscape Features
Beyond the veneer, stone shapes the landscape. A Windsor stone sculptural bench acts as a focal point, while Russet Sandstone walls create warmth. The unique custom designed bench seamlessly connects home and garden with understated elegance.

This Atherton residence exemplifies the integration of architecture, landscape, and stone, celebrating natural materials with refinement and purpose.
